Blind the Devil - Flame of Love Prayer

Blind the Devil - Flame of Love Prayer

Why don’t more priest tell their parishioners about this prayer that makes the demons take flight?

The Flame of Love Unity Prayer was given to servant of God, Elizabeth Kindelmann along with many prophecy for our times. According to her Spiritual Diary, Jesus gave her this prayer on May 4, 1962, and told her it expressed His deepest desire for union with souls. The prayer is often promoted by priests involved in the Flame of Love movement, including exorcist and seer Fr. James Blount.

Jesus told Elizabeth:

"Through this prayer, Satan will be blinded."

This prayer focuses on becoming completely united with Jesus in every aspect of life—our actions, thoughts, desires, prayer, and mission- becoming ONE with Him.

Fr. Blount says we should recite this prayer many times throughout the day. He explains  that the devil's power is weakened when a person becomes deeply united to Jesus. The Unity Prayer is not primarily about fighting demons; it is about becoming one with Christ.

Satan fears holy souls because a soul united to Jesus becomes an instrument of God's grace in the world. This prayer unites a soul intimately with Jesus.

Each line of the prayer represents surrender:

  • "May our feet journey together" — let Jesus direct where I go.
  • "May our hands gather in unity" — let my work be His work.
  • "May our hearts beat in unison" — let me love what He loves.
  • "May our thoughts be as one" — let my mind be renewed by Christ.
  • "May our lips pray together" — let my prayer become His prayer.

A Beautiful Way for Parents to Pray It

Many Catholic parents adapt the prayer as an intercession for their children:

My Adorable Jesus,

May my child's feet journey with Yours.

May their hands gather in unity with Yours.

May their heart beat in unison with Yours.

May their soul be in harmony with Yours.

May their thoughts be as one with Yours.

May their ears listen to Your voice.

May their eyes see as You see.

May their lips pray with Yours and receive mercy from the Eternal Father.

Amen.

This beautiful gift of spiritual warfare from our Lord is a great way to start the day with.
